Peace Lacrosse 2026 Boys Player of the Year: Hunter Metz – McDonogh (Md.)

This marks the third time in four years that a player from McDonogh has been named Player of the Year

Peace Lacrosse is proud to announce that Hunter Metz from McDonogh (Md.) is the 2026 Boys Player of the Year.

“Always rely on teammates no matter the circumstances,” said the senior attackman who is heading to Notre Dame in the fall on what this past season meant to him.

McDonogh head coach Travis Holmes shared his thoughts on Hunter and what he meant to the team, “Hunter had an unbelievable season with 93 points.

The thing that separated Hunter from the rest of the league was his physicality as a dodger. Defenders struggled all year to match his physicality. He is truly a workout warrior and really dedicated himself to the weight room more than most high school players.”

Metz is looking forward to spending the Summer with family and friends. And Hunter will also take part in the Senior All American Game this July.
